meet emily
I’m a big personality with approximately twelve thoughts happening at any given moment. I’ve been labeled a chatter for essentially my entire life, and I can’t say the allegations are unfounded. I love meeting new people, asking questions, hearing their stories, and finding out the oddly specific details that make someone interesting. Small talk has never really been the goal.
I’m also endlessly curious and very easily interested. I love learning about history, researching niche animal facts no one asked for, and generally knowing a little bit about a lot of things. I rarely sit still for long and am always looking for something new to do, learn, or get unnecessarily invested in. My latest undertaking: Kayla is teaching me how to play the drums!
Outside of that, I’m happiest traveling somewhere new, being completely consumed by a 1,000-piece puzzle, or eating copious amount of sugar.

I believe in the idea that almost all things can be figured out with enough research, experience, and the right amount of humor. I like to observe first and learn as much as I can when I have the chance. It’s funny that despite two different approaches, Emily and I rarely end up on opposite pages. And when we do, it’s never a bad thing because it always leads to something even better in the end.
My background is in education, but now I just try to teach our dog, Zeke, new tricks. When I’m not working, I’m usually hanging out with him, trying to learn a new recipe, or doing something involving music. I’ve also been very spoiled being born and raised in Southern Appalachia, so of course, I love a good hike or really any time spent outdoors. Big fan of Mother Nature’s work!
My simple pleasures: thunderstorms, a good belly laugh, watching the birds outside.
Best friends, wives, business partners, and still choosing to spend our free time together. We’d say things are going pretty well.
